If MFP gave you a goal of 1880, then your deficit is already built in. How much did you tell MFP you wanted to lose?0

You'll need a 1102 calorie deficit to achieve 1kg/week. But it's not recommended. A 1000 deficit would be your maximum per day or 7000 per week. (3500 calories = 1lb)0

I told it I wanted to lose 1 kilo a week.0

people will be asking for age, sex, height, current weight to be able to answer your question... there are websites you can go to, like scooby or fat2fit that will help you work out your calories... google them0

If you go to my home then goals you put in how much you want to lose per week and it does it all for you. Add exercise and keep with the deficit not too low. Aim to eat half to 3/4 of you exercise cals back and it should fall off. Be honest with yourself tho. 3500 cals = 1lb so you need a weekly deficit of that to lose a pound. Good luck :happy:0

Sorry just seen other posts. If you already did that then you get to eat 1800 per day lucky thing! More if you exercise! X0

Then you're good to go at 1880. And that's without exercise. If you do exercise, you'll want to eat at least some of those calories burned back in order to maintain your deficit. Also, as you lose weight, you'll need to reevaluate your calorie goal.0 -

I personally don't want MFP to guess my exercise calories for me so my activity setting is at sedentary. The system basically gives me my BMR and not my TDEE. I simply add my exercise calories for the day to figure out my TDEE. From there, I would deduct the calories I need to lose 1-2 lbs per week and that's what I set my goal at. I've personally tested eating back some or all my exercise calories and did not get good results. I gained weight instead. I've also tried cheat days on Sunday, same result, gained weight. This may or may not be the same for you, but just giving you my info. FYI0 -
I have exact same problem. Told MFP that I lead a sedentary lifestyle and want to lose a lb a week, set me at 1400 cals. I can walk for 2 miles a day on some days, but if I go over more than 1500 I remain the same weight or gain. From my experience, I can't eat back any of my exercise calories either0

Thanks everyone.

I have tried the same, it is very frustrating. I want to give, because it isn't working.0
