Hi! My name is Cherish and I'm 28 and I am considered obese for my height (kind of harsh but its the truth).
Like others who have joined after the New Year, I joined because I am getting married on August 16th. I want to look fabulous on my big day so I'm hoping this site can help me. I've tried fad diets like Medifast and I lost weight BUT after being off of it for 2 years I gained the weight back by my lack of exercise, work and school stress.
I would love to get to 130 in 8 months and I praying that running 3 miles a day and doing cardio twice a week will help.
I would love to meet some people who may be going through the same thing to help me stay motivated.
Wish me luck and I pray that the ticker goes down and says I've reached my goal.
Cheers

Hi there,
I'm getting married 26th August and also obese on BMI charts. I want to drop 2 dress sizes for the wedding.
Add me if you want to and we can motivate each other! I have ordered my dress and waiting for 1st fitting. Hoping to drop some weight by then, hopefully it won't come in until march!
I've just given up smoking too so lots going on :-)

Welcome! Log everything you eat accurately & honestly. Find reliable database entries. (There's a lot of incorrect data in there.) Weigh your food. Log your exercise, and eat back your exercise calories. If you're not losing, eat back half your exercise calories.

Congratulations,
a lot of great topic on here to help you, in a nut shell eat with a deficit and getting your cardio on is the quickest way to shed the weight.0
