Hi !
I am 23 years old and I am 5 ft 6 and weight 9 stones .
I feel so fat and down about my weight. I've tried loads of diets to help me but nothing has helped or I haven't been able to keep up with it .
Does anyone have any tips or advice ?
I would like to lose half a stone or a stone at least .

Hello use the tools here..stay within your range...excercise if you want to but at least watch the calories. If you eat at a deficite and are honest the weight will come off!
Good luck to you.0 -
Welcome! With such a small amount to lose, set your goal to .5 lb. per week. Find reliable database entries. (There's a lot of incorrect data in there.) Weigh your food. Log your exercise, and eat back your exercise calories. If you're still not losing, eat back half your exercise calories.

Your weight is your weight. It will go up. It will go down. Either way it doesn't define you. Find more interesting things to be depressed about.0

It's honestly a very healthy weight for your height...0

That is a healthy weight for you height and age, if you were to lose another stone you would be underweight for your height. Focus on toning up and building muscle to help you feel better about your body image and ditch the scales for a while and focus on measurements.0

LOL! That actually quite good advice. Along with 'Don't sweat the small stuff. And it is ALL small stuff.'0 -

A wise philosopher ( not an actual philosopher ) once said "I never worry about the things I can't control. If they go wrong I can't do anything about it anyway, so why worry over it? And I never worry about the things I can control because if things go wrong I can fix it. So the only things I worry about are things that I both can and cannot control. So far that is nothing".0 -

LOL! Who said that? George Carlin I assume.0 -
You are at a perfect weight for your height! 9 stone is only 125 pounds! If you are honestly so upset about how much you weigh at a perfect weight that you are depressed, you need to see a doctor for your state of mind.0

9 stones, that is like 126 lbs. right? And you are 5' 6", so you are saying you want to be underweight? I don't see what the problem is?0

Ok, now at first I was on board with the rest of the comments here. I mean 9 stones (126 lbs) at 5' 6" sounds awesome. And from the pic you have posted you look great. But we must consider a few things. One if which is how you feel.
One of the major things to consider it weight vs. bodyfat. I have been 145 lbs 26% body fat and wearing a size 14 pants. I have also been 145 lbs 17% body fat and wearing a size 6. So we can throw the number on the scale completely out the window. so I guess my question to you would be where are you body fat wise. If you are "feeling" fat at 9 stones you probably need to tone up and drop some body fat. There are a number of workout programs to do at home or at the gym that can help with this.0 -
To give members a better idea how you can lose weight please make a list of the food you eat as well as what exercise you are doing and how often you do it.0

Do 30 Day shred and tone up. See if that doesn't help you feel better about your body.0

^This. It's not only about the weight seen on the scale.0
