Hi all,

I am a 34 yr-old female, 5"5, weight 220lbs. I started with 230lbs and lose about 10lbs in 2 weeks time. I have been eating abt 900-1200 calories per day and work out everyday, about an hr. Tuesday and Thursday I will do zumba dancing twice (2hr daily). My concern now is how much calories should I eat to make sure my body is fueled up to burn more fat?

I used a TDEE calculator online and my TDEE number is 2785 and my BMR is 1701.
Should I keep doing what I am doing now and expect to see more weight drop? Or I should eat more?

Thanks for the advice!

Kitman

Put your information into MFP, set your goal, and then log your food/exercise properly. The site will give you a goal and adjust as needed. No need to over think it.

I'm not gonna get all "eat more" or lecture you but I'm someone else will be along soon.

You need to eat more, based on those numbers 2100-2200 calories a day. TDEE-20% is good to go, eating below BMR is not.

You should not be eating below your BMR. Calculate your TDEE number - 20%, and make that your calorie goal. Stop eating only 900-1200 calories per day, you're going to screw up your metabolism.
