Weight loss/Fat burner supplements?

I've been looking into these for a while now, and decided I would ask of everyones personal experience with these, as the internet is telling me different things.
What did you use for fat burning/weight loss and how well did it work?

I eat at a calorie deficit and work out (cardio and strength training). It has been working pretty well so far

I used a calorie deficit from diet and more exercise and magically the fat disappeared.

Anything that requires you to take pills with fancy-named ingredients that will 'kick-start your metabolism', 'curb cravings' or 'melt fat' is suspect, unlikely to achieve what it says on the bottle, expensive and unregulated. There is a reason these magic pills don't get an FDA rating and also why your doctor isn't going to recommend them - they're unsafe, totally unnecessary and just a trap for anyone looking for a quick fix. Weight loss takes dedicated effort and hard work, it can't be achieved through a magic pill and if you gained weight through excess calories then eating at a calorie deficit is the way to reverse it.

    Don't fall for this.

+1. Don't waste your money. Multivitamin should be just fine, and I take fish oil if I'm not eating enough fish (which I do, so its pretty rare). Just focus on meeting your calories and macros and you'll lose weight and burn fat.

There are no magic pills. With the obesity crisis in the Western world, do you really think if someone invented a miracle weight loss pill they'd have to use infomercials to sell it?

The only place they make you lose weight in your wallet.

Clearly no one is really answering the question.

Yes, you will need a calorie deficit and exercise to loose weight but that's what your recommended to do when using fat burning products. They are an aide in losing weight and not the magic pill.

I can say from personal experience that I never believed in these products and frowned upon people using them without having actually used them myself.

I've used Xenadrine before and currently using Phenadrine ThermoCut (Only produced in SA). look for a thermogenic.

It gives me a lot of energy so workouts become a breeze(MMA training is insane). But I do find that it suppresses the appetite to a point where I force myself to eat (Have read where a bodybuilder only takes them after meals because it suppresses the appetite).

Give it a shot. Xenadrine gives quite a kick so maybe start of with a product that's more mild.

Waste of time and money. Reading panels on those things it's usually some form of diuretic, caffeine and green tea extract combo. You'd probably get the same results taking diurex and drinking an actual cup of green tea with it and it'd be cheaper.

Calories and macros are the way to go. Make sure you're eating enough and use a food scale for intake accuracy and that will get you farther.
  • A good habit of taking perfect diet is very effective to reduce weight. If you do exercise regularly and eat light food 3 times a day, you will definitely reduce some calories in a weak. You can easily burn your fat by the regular exercise and taking green vegetables. It is the best remedy to loss your weight.
