Is my goal too ridiculous?

Okay, so I regularly eat pretty healthily but I don't believe in cutting out my junk foods all together because I'm pretty happy with the way my body looks and I like to be able to enjoy my ice cream or whatever every now and then. This is my normal route and I've lost most of the weight that I had intended to lose by not being so strict. That being said, here's my short term goal:
I'm getting married in June 2014 (a little over 4 months away!!! AHH!) I have those last 5-8 pounds that I'd like to shed. But for me, the weight isn't as important as losing a couple more inches. My dress fits but is rather snug and I know that if I just cut out the little extra "treats" that i have my body would respond a bit more. So I told my friend (also my matron of honor) that I wanted to really clean up my diet until the wedding. She basically thought I was being completely ridiculous and that I shouldn't deprive myself etc.
I don't feel like I'm depriving myself as I have been craving more fruits etc anyway rather than processed junk food. I only plan on being really strict until the wedding and then I can loosen up a little and get back to my maintenence routine. I don't feel like I'm being ridiculous as it's only 4 months and I'm not cutting out anything that I really have to have anyway.
Even knowing how I feel about it a couple of my friends feel the need to give me crap about my goals. Am I being ridiculous?

I don't see it as being ridiculous especially since you're only doing it for a few months. Junk food is really bad for you but if you enjoy it (like I enjoy it lol) it's going to be hard. That may be why people are saying it's ridiculous... I mean my mom told me I was crazy for cutting out soda. So it may be because they don't see it working for themselves?
Either way; It's not ridiculous in my opinion (:0 -

No, your goals are not ridiculous. If you want to clean it up, no one should deter you.
I have found that I haven't lost a lot of pounds as of late, but I've gone low carb and know I'm losing inches.
I will have a fitness assessment in a few weeks to have exact numbers.0 -
No, your goal is not silly!
Personally I am trying the Stronglifts 5x5 program and I am definitly noticing a difference.0
