picky friend

Hello,
I have a friend that I will be making dinner for. She is lactose and gluten intolerent and does not like onions and garlic. Anyone have a recipe or idea they would like to share?

Thanks!

Gluten Free Dairy Free Teriyaki Chicken

2 TBS olive oil, plus more if needed
1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken (boil it for 15 minutes)
4 carrots chopped or buy them all ready shredded
    2 1/2 cups broccoli chopped
    1 clove garlic minced
1/4 cup water or gluten free chicken stock
1/2 cup gluten free soy sauce (Organic Tamari)
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water or gluten free chicken stock
    2 TBS cornstarch
    pepper to taste

Heat oil in large skillet and stir fry carrots and broccoli. Add garlic and chicken. Add in 2/3 of water or stock, soy sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Stir together remaining water or stock with the corn starch. Serve over quinoa or rice. Feel free to add other vegetables (i.e. mushrooms, water chestnuts, bean sprouts.)

Make sure you check the cornstarch isn't made from wheat flour like some here are.

If you are going to include dessert, you could try orange flan:

    1 cup orange juice
    1 cup sugar
    6 eggs
    1 tbps orange liqueur
    Orange zest

Mix ingredients until sugar dissolves. Grease a pie pan or quiche pan (9 or 10 inches) and dust with sugar. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes (you can use a water bath or not) until set.

Made this yesterday for a friend and used orange mango juice. It was lovely. Ate a small slice for breakfast - delightful
But she might have an issue with custard/flan if she is a picky eater
