newbie question about meal diary

How do I figure out what the calories are for a recipe I make? Today I made taco soup. I've seen a lot of recipes here but mine is slightly different. Is there a place I can put my recipe/ # of servings and they tell me what the calories are OR....do I just need to do that on paper?
Any help will be appreciated,.

This is correct if you are on a computer or viewing through a web browser. On the app it is really buried:
1. click the 3 lines in the top left that pull up the menu. Select Settings
2. Click on 'My foods and exercises'
3. Click on 'My Recipes'
4. Click on the + in the upper right to create a new recipe. If you already have a recipe, you can click on the name to edit it.
This is how it works for my iPhone. Not sure how different it is for Android. I prefer using the recipe builder on the phone so I can use the bar code scanner.0 -
Yup, use the recipe builder. I have accumulated pages and pages of my own recipes over these months...0
