I've lost 11 lbs in about 3 weeks and I want to keep going! I've never lost more than 5 lbs especially eating foods that I REALLY REALLY LOVE and I'm so proud of myself. My exercise routine is only Hip Hop Abs and I eat anything I want! Portion Control!

Congrats on the 11 lbs! I wish you the best of luck in your health journey (I hate saying diet). Hip Hops Abs is a great way to lose weight. Remember to drink lots of water. For motivation: we are all different but I found that when I think about the "future me" it makes it easier to keep going. Good luck! And remember you got this!!0

It's not going to be exciting all the time. In fact, it's not going to be exciting most of the time. You need to develop habits that support you getting to a healthy weight and staying there. You need habits so that you just keep going even when you really can't be bothered even thinking about weight loss. For me, I got into the habit of eating the right amount of calories (MFP obviously being a big help there). I got into the habit of doing regular exercise that I enjoy. Later, I got into other habits of eating foods that are higher in protein and fibre (again, the MFP diary really helps). Weighing and logging my food has become second nature. I go for a run, or go to the gym after work when I'm tired not because I feel all pumped up and motivated, but because it's what I do after work.
It's just like; when I get up in the morning, I have a shower. Not because I feel excited to do so. Not because I'm thinking "I really don't want to smell bad today", but because it's what I've done first thing in the morning for years. Habit.
You're really unlikely to feel motivated for the time it takes to lose the weight, and you're even less likely to keep feeling motivated all the time once you've hit your goal. So don't rely on the motivation, rely on habits.0 -

Strip naked and look at yourself in the mirror.
Ask yourself am I where I want to be.
If yes then congrats you have made it!
If no then there is your motivation.0
