home made thin mints:
melt chocolate.
tiny tiny bit of peppermint extract.
get ritz crackers or some cheap off brand
dip crackers in chocolate.
freeze.
i was super skeptical because i thought they'd be super salty or gross.
they are perfect.0 -

They are DELICIOUS cold and crunchy and added to ice cream or milk shakes.0 -
I must admit I buy at LEAST 12 boxes every year. We freeze them and bring them out a little at a time. I could care less about ANY other cookie...and I have a sign (no, really) on my front door that reads "No solicitation, No religious queries...but Girl Scouts with Thin Mints Welcome" :bigsmile:0

Someone who worked for Girl Scouts told me Thin Mints and Keebler Grasshoppers are the same cookie made in the same factory. Mmm. I have them all year now.0

The ones in Illinois are/were. Not sure about now/elsewhere. They make them in different factories for different regions.

Apparently they have milk chocolate instead of dark, but are from the same factory. And I prefer milk chocolate, so it works for me.0 -
Yes, but oreos dipped in melted mint chocolate candy-making wafers > thin mints (insanely >>>)0

I have two girl scouts in the house and if they fail to sell their allotment, mom + dad will simply have to buy them out. :devil:0 -
