If you go over calories one day but make up for the overage throughout the week does that make up for the overage?

Yes. Look at your nutrition for the past 7 days, not just today.
In the iOS app, tap the stack of 3 thick lines in the top left to go to the main menu. Choose "Nutrition." At the very bottom, change "daily" to "weekly."
If you aren't seeing the 7 days you want, go back to the main menu & choose "Settings," then "Weekly Nutrition Settings."0 -
Yes. If you average your target calories (meaning some days over, some under) you will be fine. That is how I survive high calorie days.0

I think of it as a rolling average. If I am under on Wednesday, I can eat those under calories another day or use that under for weight loss. I just can't do both and expect success.0

So because my daily calorie goal is 1700...weekly that would be 11,900. As long as I stay under that weekly, the daily doesn't matter?0

I go from week to week net carbs....that way I can have high calorie days and it evens out throughout the week. Some days I dont feel like eating dinner, so I use those cals later on in the week for alcohol or treats0

I plan on pigging out on superbowl sunday, so I am trying to save around 100 cals per day so I can use them for the superbowl0

Im trying to do the same. Last night I ate sweets but logged as today as it was really late, burning most of them off today so that I can still have good meals. Some days I eat more then others so it all evens out I think. I did have an old account but couldnt keep focused because one bad choice would mean I would over eat the rest of the day so this account is a fresh start. I think its more positive to think of weekly goal numbers then daily0
