Hello,

Has anyone used the Ideal Shape products? Shakes and such? Just wanted to know if they worked for anyone or if anyone uses any shakes as meal replacements.

Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thanks!

All of the people I've known who used shake meal replacement products regained their weight back when they stopped using them. The problem is using the shakes keeps your caloric intake down so you lose weight, but it doesn't teach you how to change your eating habits so that when you start eating regular food again, you know how to keep a calorie goal to maintain your weight. Unless you plan to use them for the rest of your life, it's probably not going to work.

Shakes and meal replacements can be a useful tool, especially if you are an on the go person. As mentioned above though they can also frequently lead to "yo-yo" dieting because the user never learns to eat properly. I am not saying don't use them, just make sure you put in the effort to educate yourself on proper nutrition as well so you successfully keep the weight off in the end.

    ~best wishes

Just started using ideal shape 4 days ago and I'm down 4 lbs. I need the convenience of it for work. It does give me a bit of energy and I feel full. No hunger pains when I can't have lunch at a proper time.

i too am using them as a tool. for the last week i have been replacing two meals a day. but i have been staying within my calorie limit as well. i dont think its the shakes that cause u to lose weight. its staying in your calorie range. i use them because theyre convenient. i lost almost 4 lbs last week. but u will always lose more when u first begin a diet. i have tried a few different meal replacement shakes and these are so far my favorite
