    Very first thing? Probably the realization that it's male. Second, would be height*.

    *which is funny since when I met my husband I couldn't see him and his friend very well and his friend was taller so I was checking out the friend. Fortunately for both of us, his friend turned out to be a jerk and the husband was more attractive the closer distance.

    Beard, all the way. The more he resembles a lumberjack, the more irresistible I find him! That's how I met my husband, actually - we got to chatting in a bar and I asked if I could pet his beard. Still my favorite thing to do 8 years later!
