My own potential...not knowing what I am capable of but being determined to find out and then push those limits.
  • I used to be a male model, and I am a veteran of the U.S. Army. I was a mini army tank in size 26 jeans, even with what the girls called a "J Lo booty." I want my body back to what it used to be. Strong, healthy, reliable. You never know when you will have to play the hero, and if you are unable to save yourself, how can you expect to save others? I want the power to give someone their life back if fate tries to abruptly take it away. I also have a wife and two children that need a husband/dad around as long as possible. You only live once, and there is no point on wasting any time letting weight kill you quicker than you need to. I used to drink a lot, smoke cigarettes like a train, and now I have given all of that up for the most part in pursuit of being the power house that I used to be. I pray everyone for whatever reason it may be stays the course.

Looking back at how much progress I've made in the last 2 years, and looking forward to making just as much in the future.

    And:
Being slightly more awesome than I was yesterday. :drinker:

I only entered to have the personal trainer for free. don't even care if I'm the winner . this is about me winning in my life
  • To prove to everyone who said I couldn't and that "I always give up" wrong!! Also, I would love to feel comfortable WITHOUT a jacket or sweater covering up my lovely lady lumps :P

For me motivation is just a myth! I set days that I am going to workout and JUST DO IT! I do want to be healthier, I guess that could be called motivation, but when I have worked all day and come home make dinner, do laundry, etc.. (I'm a single dad) I am not motivated to do cardio!

To be healthy, have energy, shop in a regular woman's department store, and tuck in my blouse with a belt and stop hiding my tummy!
  • I created a Biggest Loser contest at my work years ago..what a headache to manage. Hey, Good luck with your work contest. I'll be a cheerleader for you, friend me - or however it works here. I'm on the last 13 pounds...sounds great doesn't it? Yeah well I've been on the last 13 pounds for 6 years. help. LOL
My motivation is a picture I have of myself all buff when I wasn't even trying, just had a physical long hours job where I didn't feed myself (crew on yachts). I'm listening to the Stae of the Union address while I type you...I'm kind of like our country, lots of potential just need a lot of work.

Setting the example that working out and being fit beats being out of shape and over weight, I work in a field that often has thousands of young adults looking up to me and I want them to emulate my lifestyle of fitness to better themselves.
  • Not becoming diabetic like everyone else in my family. And getting married in two years, wedding dresses that aren't plus size cost a lot less.
  • I've never worn a bikini. And in May I will.
