Can someone define "previously boiled water" for me ?

Can I boil it in the microwave and refrigerate until ready to use, then leave of out for a while, or leave it out to room temperature after boiling ?

I'm using a nasal irrigator, if that helps.

If it's in a sterile container boiled water should keep for a bit.

    Oh wow that's awkward phrasing.

I suspect the main idea is that it should not be boiling right when you shoot it up your nose or whatever.

But that it should have been boiled at some time fairly shortly before use in order to sterilize it.

all i know is that you should totally follow the instructions, I saw these on that show 1000 ways to die. The guy used regular tap water, from the tap, and yeah...he died.

I just looked it up and this was what it said, "When water containing the Naegleria fowleri amoeba, a single-celled organism, enters the nose, the organisms may migrate to the brain, causing primary amebic meningoencephalitis, a very rare -- but usually fatal -- disease."

There have been two deaths from it. From using tap water in the neti pot.

I just looked it up quickly and didn't read it through yet.
