I've been following Marc Perry for awhile and came across his article on body fat percentages. The pictures are quite helpful for comparison to where you're at vs. the "gold standard."

Nice. And pretty much spot on with where I'm at now and where I've been, both higher and lower.0

Same here! It's nice to have the reference images, since everyone is so different. 15% body fat looks different on everyone, as does 6% body fat.0

From pics, looks like I'm around 35% and not the 30%ish, I thought. Cheers for that0

I wish I could see but it's blocked on my work computer. I'm 21% though, someone tell me the reference is good! Haha0

Well done you - that's my idea of perfect0 -
I think I've seen this before, but thanks for posting again, as I find it really inspiring.
One thing that troubles me is that female models in the 15-30% range look like they may have breast implants. I'm not objecting to the implants at all, but I'm thinking that something must be considered in there for them. For example, For example, the site talks about a 5'4" woman at 130 pounds. If she has implants, she'll weigh a little more but have lower body fat, right, since the implants aren't fat?
I don't guess it really matters. I just wonder if implants skew our ideas of what weights and bf% look like.0 -
Thanks for sharing.
I followed the link to the body fat charts ( http://www.builtlean.com/2010/08/03/ideal-body-fat-percentage-chart/ )which includes an explanation of why some charts have different bands according to age - makes sense now. I just have to stay the same for another couple of years and I'll be in the "lean" range.0 -

I have breast implants and they account for a whopping 1 lb of my weight. Unless their implants are enormous, they'ren ot going to be that heavy.0 -

Is there some way we can get rid of all that nonsense? This person has done the same thing on other threads too.0
