New to lifting

Hello, I’m a 20 years old, 5ft 6, and around 147lbs. Between January – July alst year I lost around 50lbs and for the rest of the year I maintained. Now I’m ready to lost my last 10lbs [aprox]
During my weight loss I made sure I combined healthy eating with exercise, although I did do some weight lifting, it was 80% cardio… now I’m ready to switch that around. I feel that as I’ve only got a little bit left to go it’s important for me to lift and hopefully this will tone me up etc.
Just wondered if there was anyone out there in the same position as me and/or experience in lifting that could add me, could do with the support and in return you’ll have my support also. Thank you!!
P.s. if you aren't interested in friending, any tips are welcome to be posted here..

No experience to match yours but broadly my advice would be to pick one of the many novice routines available (Stronglifts, Starting Strength, Allpro's etc) and start very conservatively.0

I highly suggest Starting Strength, it's a great book that will go through the details of the lifts and form. I consider it a must have for any beginners!
By going on youtube and searching Starting Strength or Stronglifts you will find a ton of videos as well0 -
