Hi everyone!

So ive got a problem that is all too familiar on this site - I am stuck on a particular weight and cannot lose anything despite working out 3 times a week and watching my calories. I am 5"7 and weigh 151lbs, i'd like to lose 7-10 lbs.
I weighed 5lbs less only 6 months ago (i was maintaining that weight too) so i know its possible, and I only want to lose 10 lbs maximum anyway, but since Christmas i realized I had gained and now seem to be unable to lose this stubborn bit!!!

A look around the site suggested I'm not eating enough calories - I am regularly a few hundred calories under my target and i work out 3 times a week (currently my work outs are training for a 5k so a 25 min run 3 times a week, with the occasional spin class thrown in) I went to the fattofit site and it told me i should be eating 1700 per day, which is 400 more than i had set up on here. Also I do have a habit of letting myself go at the weekends, perhaps a cheeky takeaway and some wine. With my watching what i eat and working out 5 out of 7 days, I didnt think this would make a drastic difference..... but .....

i just wanted to ask people, has this worked for you to help you lose weight (eating more) and also HOW can i eat more?! Does it mean i can just grab a slice of buttered bread or chocolate to add more? Or should i be eating nuts/avocados and 'healthy' calories? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys :)

When I realized I had to up my calories that's what I did. I just added more healthy food to my diet. Try adding an extra healthy snack into your day or increase your portions on something healthy you've been eating if you don't think you can fit another meal into your day. Don't make the mistake of thinking ANY extra calories are ideal, go for QUALITY calories!

    Thanks!!
So the odd glass of wine probably isnt quality calories - what a shame!!

I guess the items i would go to are avocados and nuts - is there anything else i could eat that could up my calories that you guys would recommend?
