Introducint myself

Hi! My name is Sherry and I had gastric bypass July 30, 2013. I have lost 90 lbs so far and would like to lose at least another 30 to be where I want to be, 60 to be where the charts would like me to be. I am feeling good about myself, but it's taking a while to realize how much my body has changed! I am stuck at a plateau recently and I know it's because I have been pushing the limits on how much I eat. I don't overeat all at once, I just graze and I guess that keeps me from losing. The other thing is that I need to exercise more. So I am here for advice and inspiration for now. Hopefully I can learn and advise others some day! :smooched:

welcome and congratulations on your weight loss so far!! I use to be a grazer too and was amazed how much i was eating when I started tracking my food. Portion control is key! be aware of what you are eating instead of doing it without realizing what and how much you are eating. So what kind of exercise do you think you might be interested in? Cardio, walking, strength training?
  • I have a stationary bike at home that has all kinds of programs from cardio to fat burning and everything in between. My husband has graciously let me put this in the living room so that I can cycle and watch tv. The other thing I bought was a treadclimber and I have had to ease myself into working out on that. :) So now I need to make myself do it at least 3 times a week. Hopefully I can come here for accountability!
