Salt Substitutes -experiences?

Hi all, I've recently decided to reduce the salt in my diet (family has genetically sucky blood pressure), and I've been reading a few articles/sites about it. Now I'd like to hear some RL experience from all of you who have done the same :).

I have heard that some of the substitutes have a gross aftertaste. Is there a particular brand that you recommend? Morton's seems to be the most easily available type, any experiences with it?
