Hello, hope someone can help me with this. I have lost a stone on an intake of 1440 calories a day over the course of a month. My question is do I carry on eating this amount until I reach my goal weight or do I need to alter it at all? Hope someoe can help please?

you could increase a little as you edge towards your goal, but if you have a long way to go stick with it for now.

They say to recalculate your caloric needs every 5-10 pounds, so I would say try to redo your numbers and see if anything changes! Check out IIFYM.com and find out what the recommended caloric intake is for your weight, height and activity level and try to eat 15-20% below that.

Thankyou :) When you say 'recalculate' do you mean as in, reset starting weight to current weight? Have done that and calorie intake is still the same. Thought it may have changed?

Meaning input current stats into calculator to get new daily calories/macros.

MFP will recalculate your calorie goal every 10 lb.

The closer you get to goal, the more slowly you lose, so you'll need to reset your weight-loss goal. For the last 25 lb., set your goal to .5 lb. per week. Anything more is unrealistic & unhealthy, and a smaller deficit will help you transition into maintenance.

Hmmm... really last 25lbs set .5 a week? Ill have to sit on that as I do not think I can do that. lol

But on the bright side I would be able to eat more... Hmm.... I'm going to have to research this out on my own. Thank you for giving me something to think about.
