my weight lost and exercise program

I started the my fitness pal with my husband 1/1/14. We wanted to lose weight and eat healthier ,he and I quit smoking he quit in 2003 and me in 2011, both of us gained weight I gained over 100 lbs,he gained 50 and he also is diabetic,has a pacemaker,I have COPD and are on inhalers, also had cancer 8 yr. Cancer free, had a stroke in late 1980's left me unable to work.I have had a heart attack 2008 left knee replacement, my health problems are many. We bought a treadmill and I am walking at a leisure pace for 13 mins.twice a day I am counting calories I as am staying with the 1200 calories recommended,my hubby is counting calories he can have more then me since he wants to lose less then I do.He also does situps(10) 4 times a day plus walking 15 mins 2 times a day at a moderate pace. I weighted in at 238 lbs when we started I now weight 225 lbs.Proves it is working.Hubby has not weigh in yet. This is a good program, keep at it don't give up!! Thank you Son for recommending it to us. I should add that I am 66 yrs young and my hubby is 73 yrs young he hunts and fishes with our 3 oldest son's every year.

  • Wow, great job......most people would use all these problems as an excuse. You don't though. keep up the work and don't be scared to keep uping your walks. Good luck and keep up the good work.
