ive only been logging the actually workouts that i do at the gym, i dont ever log the walk to school with the kids or when i go out with friends. i dont even log when i do a clean and scrub. do these actually count towards calories lost or would you say it just classes as cheating. i also try not to eat back any calories lost

I use a fitbit to track my walking. I have also tracked my cleaning if it was more than just walking around vacuuming, i.e., moving objects, bending over, or scrubbing hard.
I have found most cleaning tasks under the exercise database.
I do not think it is cheating, especially if you feel that you heart rate has increased greater than your normal standing heart rate.
One added thought... You can also use an app to track your walks, Runtastic, MapMyWalk, and others are designed to track the distance, pace, and calories burned. These apps can be linked to MyFitnessPal so you do not have to remember to add them. Your calorie intake number is automatically calculated.0 -
Remember, it is often considered important to eat back at least half of your exercise calories as well.0
