Digital Food Scale Help

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good digital food scale without breaking the bank? Also, do you think having a bowl with the scale is important? What should I be looking for?

There are lots of good ones out there for $15-20. All you need are tare and g/oz toggle buttons. I don't think a bowl is necessary, you can just use your own! I have one from Kitrics that has held up for over 6 years, through multiple (like 6) moves. I love it! Mine is this model: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000U67EI0/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_d1_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=09RX89GWX48MAB2AX84F&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200422&pf_rd_i=507846
But they also have a cheaper one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DJ1NOY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_d1_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=09RX89GWX48MAB2AX84F&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200422&pf_rd_i=507846
I never use any of the built in nutritional info stuff.0 -

Ooooh you have the one with built in nutrition?? Do you use it? Do you like it?
Just realized you said you don't use it. Haha oops.
OP - I have this one in Chrome: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007GAWRS/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works great, it's simple and easy to figure out.
ETA: I just checked and I ordered it in April 2011. So it's been going strong for almost 3 years! (I didn't start using it every day until I joined MFP though. I just used it to weigh baking ingredients.)0 -
Yeah I got mine in... I wanna say 2008? So I lost the booklet looong ago. I have no idea what the codes are for anything, haha. I don't really need it since I'm using MFP! The one you linked looks perfect, too! That's really all you need.0

I got mine awhile back for $18 at Bed, Bath & Beyond. You can get a 20% off coupon on their website.0

I have a WeighMax that I bought on eBay for $15.0

I use a MIRA digital kitchen scale. It has a glass top, it's low profile, looks sleek, and has a digital screen.
Only 20 dollars too. I don't have a special bowl that I use with my scale because it's large enough to usually hold any of my bowls.

Hope this helps.0
