Forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question

...but when MFP gives you a set amount of carbs to consume a day, does this include vegetables/fruit with carbs?
or ONLY the grain carbs? It would seem to me to not include these food groups as they are healthy...hmm maybe not the fruit so much.
I'm 5'5, 218lbs, and MFP gave me a 150g carb daily allowance (60g protein, 40g fat, 1,200 calories)
I've always been stumped with this and i haven't really seen a solid answer. Please direct me to a link if i may missed it on the boards
I'm sorry but i don't really post my food journal. I just like to participate in the groups and read topics in the forums. All so helpful

I'm pretty sure it is all carbs no matter where they come from. If you are worried about sugar, you can track that as well as fiber. Good luck!0

It's just based on percentage of calories, the source is not taken into consideration. If you didn't count fruit and veg, you would be below your protein and/or fat targets, or over on your calories. There is nothing wrong with carbs, it's just a matter of balance.0

i wouldn't worry too much about going over any one particular macronutrient. i'd worry about calories first and foremost, and making sure you are getting enough protein, especially if you are exercising.
you can track carbs, and yes, the carbs from veggies and fruit count. and why are fruits not healthy? because of sugar? don't track sugar then. tracker fiber instead.0 -
how tall are you?0

Log a veg or fruit and it will show you right next to it the carbs and other macros...you could even set it to show micros too.0

It counts all carbs no matter the source
I am diabetic so I try to keep under 135 carbs a day and everything counts, carbs from milk, veggies, fruit and then whatever additional carbs I consume

the carb count is for all carbs, no matter if they come from fruits, veggies, bagels or tortilla chips. carbs are not "bad" for you. However, some foods that are high in carbs provide more nutrition than other items, and you may find that fruits, veggies and whole grains satisfy you more, for longer, than things like chips or pastries or white breads.0

Not sure! Never counted a carb a day in my life!0
