Couch to 5K Challange?

In England the NHS (National Health Service) are doing a 5K running challenge, building up a persons stamina over 9 weeks, with each getting harder in till you can run 5K.

I'm thinking about taking part in this challenge but not sure if it would be beneficial to me as I run for half an hour at the gym three times a week.

What do you all think about this?

If it's the same C25K they use in the States, honestly I think it's going to be too easy for you if you are already running 30 minutes in the gym a few times per week. How many miles/KM are you hitting in 30 minutes? Honestly, one of Hal Higdon's 5K plans is probably a better bet for you at this point.

    Hi,

Probably between 3 and 4 K per run, I know though that I could run a tad faster, so it would not be fare off the full 5K. :)

The aim of C25K is to get you running for 30 mins by the end so you're already there. I did it last year then just increased the time I ran for until I was hitting 5k. You could try that
