I have been eating healthy for a month. I am following the my fitness pal food diary and trying to exercise at least 3 x a week. I had a bad day today. I had a piece of chocolate cake and a couple of cookies. I guess I should forgive myself, and get back on the wagon. What are some low-cal snacks that you use to stay on point.

Just make sure your portions are spot on. Albertson's choc. chip cookies are 100 cals alone. Account for that and moderate. There isn't a lot of room for snacks unless they're healthy and light. Crackers are good.0

Maybe it would be more satisfying for you to eat 6 small meals a day rather than three larger meals. This should also boost your metabolism! Make sure you are incorporating fiber, protein and good fats in your daily caloric intake. Good choices of protein are nonfat Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, lean meats and fish. Good fats can be found in many forms like avocados, raw nuts, olive oil (not to cook with) and your fiber should come from fruits and vegetables mostly and (legit) whole grains. Protein and fiber stabilize your blood glucose levels which helps to ward off cravings and keep your hunger satisfied longer. Do some research on some foods that you love that are healthy and find more ways to incorporate them into your daily intake! if you are actually enjoying your food and new lifestyle choices you wont feel like your missing too much when cravings hit. You just gotta find the better choice. Always remember though, maintaining the right portions are key, log all that you eat (even if you feel guilty about it) and keep a positive attitude that you are worth it!0
