I'm in the process of buying an elliptical and was wondering if it will use a lot of electricity??

Hmm. Good question.
I guess it depends on how much you use it. We have a treadmill and it hasn't caused our electric bill to rise much. We don't really use it that much anymore since we go to a gym now, but when we used it a lot, it didn't seem to cause much of an increase.
ETA: What type of elliptical are you looking at buying? If it's a newer, more electronic one it might. We have an old, manual, standalone one that uses no electricity whatsoever.0 -
Most ellipticals run off the power generated by pedaling. So no your electric bill shouldn't be affected.......................unless you're watching more TV since it's pretty boring.

I'm not sure which one I'm going to buy yet. Probably a LIvestrong or a Horizon Fitness brand, but I don't know which model yet. thanks for your input!0
