Am I doing something wrong?

I have been on MFP for 90 days now and I've lost around 14lbs. I've been eating at a 2000 calorie limit a day, and been exercising twice a week ( cardio at first but now I'm lifting instead). I don't pay attention to carbs etc but I do pay attention to protein ( I have protein shakes before a workout)
Normally I would do 25 mins on a cycle bike then 49 squats, sit ups, lunges etc.
But idk.. I don't feel like I look much different? Is it because I've not lost a lot yet even though it feels like I have? My goal is to lose 50lbs. I started at 231.7 and now I'm 218 and I'm around 5'9 in height.
I just wonder am I doing something wrong? I'm loosing about 1lbs a weeks and it's pretty regular but some weeks I will stay the same.
(My profile is public so you can see my diary if you want to, but yesterday and today I've gone over due to an event, so please ignore the logging for them days lol) I don't go over regularly though. I think I've gone over maybe 8 days max and normally about 100 calories.

It sounds like you're doing fine.
Sometimes it takes a while for the brain to catch up. I was at goal for months before I really started to think I looked slim.0 -

This.
Have you take photos? It really helps to give perspective when you see them side by side.
Also staying the same some weeks is normal.0 -

I hope so! I think of a stone being a lot tbh, but really it's probably not that much when you think of it lost off your whole body, I always imagine the stone being just from my belly.0 -

Yes I do take pictures, but i don't see much of a difference. I think it may be just because I haven't lost a significant amount of weight that I don't really see much of a difference.0 -

Yeah that's true as well.
Like 3dogsrunning said it can be very helpful to take pictures. Also if you haven't yet, take measurements.0 -
First of all, your doing fine. A big motivator for me was taking pics. Its hard to see the difference when you see it everyday. A side by side photo really puts things in perspective. Good luck and maybe one more day a week working out won't hurt either.0

photos and a soft tape are the bomb.
You see yourself every day. You probably did't notice yourself getting, very gradually, larger, and you don't notice yourself getting, very gradually, smaller.
Measure and photo every 30 days. same poses, same lighting. Measure at the same spot. And don't worry about the scale too much.
You'll be surpised how clear the difference is when you are looking at it in 2 dimensions, or in cm, and at 30 day intervals, rather than 24 hour intervals.0 -
Take progress pictures. They help a lot. There's tiny changes every day that all add up so you don't notice them unless you look at pictures side by side.0

I posted pictures on my photobucket but it didn't work when I tried to put them on here, here's a link to my profile http://s324.photobucket.com/user/itskieraan/library/Mobile Uploads?sort=3&page=1
Hopefully that works0 -

I'm willing to bet if you posted them others would. Like Ilift said, sometimes its takes awhile for our brain to catch up. We tend to be our own worst critics. Keep going. You'll see the change.0 -

It won't work because there are spaces in the album name. MFP doesn't know what to do with images that have spaces.0 -

As can I. Its a little hard to tell because in one your arm is blocking a bit, but you can still tell your stomach is smaller from the side. A front one would be helpful too.0 -
