Carb Intake while doing Insanity

Hey guys i am looking for some guidance if anyone can help. i am doing insanity 5 days a week and eating 1800cals per day with roughly 150grams of carbs. im 5ft 11 and weigh 149lbs i am wanting to stay roughly the same weight but lose as much bodyfat as possible. how many carbs should i be eating???

    Follow their program. Sounds like your calorie intake is way low for Insanity. I get 2700 calories based on your stats, and that's being conservative. 1g per pound lean mass of protein, .35g per pound of body weight for fat, fill the rest in with carbs.

    hi tigersword i really appreciate your help but the plan im on just now im eating 1700cals 153 carbs 170 protein and 50g fat where am i going wrong?? thanks again

    because i dont have great experiece when it comes to fat loss and i didnt want to eat too much incase i put fat on.

    i dont have alot of bodyfat but i do have a wee chubby belly that is really doing my head in. i dont kno if im eating too many carbs or not . thanks

    ALL OF THEM! Carbs don't matter for weight loss. When I cut weight, I cut on 300g of carbs, lol. For weight loss CALORIES is what matters, unless your going for a body re-comp for a bodybuilding show.

    And as others mentioned, I'd recheck my daily caloric intake. It seems low for daily or every other day Insanity

    Here's a little chart I follow for my macros:

    Protein - 1g per 1lb. of body-weight = 180g < ---- 1G of protein equals 4 calories
    Fats - 0.4 x bodyweight (180lbs) = 72g < ---- 1G of fat equals 9 calories
    Carbs - left over calories. <
    1G of carbs equals 4 calories

    This is generally what most people follow and what MFP goes off of as well. You can lower your fats/protein and up carbs if you want. It all just depends on how YOU feel. But this generally works for everyone.

    hey martyqueen53 thanks for your info i will follow accordingly and take it from there . if you cut on 300g then what the hell do you eat on a bulk lol
