MFP Net Calorie Goal - Follow it how closely?

When I started two months ago MFP suggested I take in I want to say 2250... seemed crazy high so I adjusted it down to 2050, still seemed like I was eating a lot (I eat back my burned calories) so I dropped it to 1950 and then 1850 (This over the course of about a week or two). I stayed there a bit then took a look at what MFP was suggesting a few weeks ago and have been following its suggested calories. However this morning it dropped to 1400.
Now I do have it set for "Lose 2lbs a week" which is aggressive but I am concerned about dropping below 1400 as its been a bit of a challenge to go below 1500. I am somewhat active at work (Moving between client sites but at a desk while there) and I have been doing 400c daily on the treadmill with 45m of dumbbells every 2-3 days.(206c) Again I am eating back these calories so with a few exceptions I am getting 1300-1400c a day.
Right now I am strongly considering going back to 1500 as I "felt" better / had more energy there but I do feel a little guilty at going above what MFP suggests after being below its recommendation for so long.
Thank you,
Frank

If you feel better or more comfortable at 1500 as your base, then do it. MFP's guideline isn't the be all end all. It's a guideline. There's nothing wrong with being less aggressive. In fact, it's encouraged. Slow and steady wins the race.0

I agree. If you feel satisfied and have energy, go back to 1500. Nobody knows your body as well as you do. Even my trainer says that some days you just have to eat more to keep that metabolism going. Trust your gut (literally and figuratively), keep training, and you should be just fine.0
