    If this is the only change you are making then no.

    If this is a change you're making after you have figured out your caloric intake in deficit and it fits in it, then go for it.

    yup. this. butter and olive oil are both healthy things, and I suspect lentils are pretty much the same nutritionally as the yellow split peas. Its all about calorie deficit. Eat what you like and enjoy....at a deficit.

    Weight loss is about your overall diet, not one meal. At only 348 cal per serving, that recipe is already pretty low cal.

    So yes, that'd be a good weight loss recipe, with or without your changes IF you eat at an overall calorie deficit. If you ate the whole pot of it in one sitting, that'd be 1392 cals right there and so no, it might not be so good (especially if you wanted to eat something else that day).
