Hi, I've already posted before but I'm just so down. I am 5"4 and am at a normal weight but I gained about 10 lbs ever since I started college and would like to get rid of it. However, I have been trying to eat better and exercise. I have not seen any weight loss on the scale of measurements wise. I am losing hope and feel like giving up. On weekends, I have occasional splurges, which may be why I'm not losing weight, but I thought occasional binges were okay? Also, I have omelette every morning, and am not sure if the oil is also a part in making me not lose weight. Do I have to eat completely clean in order to lose the weight? Is 3 weeks abnormal to not be seeing any results?
Thank you so much in advance.

You aren't eating enough. What is your current weight? You have several diary days where you are really, really under the number of calories you need. The oil in your omelet isn't going to stop you from losing weight.
Eat a little more and keep with it. It takes me 2-3 weeks to see any scale movement when I'm doing it all right. If you don't fuel your body well, your metabolism will slow down, which makes it harder to lose.0 -
The best advice i can give you is to visit this site http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/, then buy a food scale and weigh everything you eat and log it consistently. Looking back at your food log there are holes, skipped meals, unfinished days and so on. You have to commit yourself to change and create a calorie deficit. Eat less, move more, that's it.0

I am 121 lbs0

At 121, even doing this by the book will be slow. You'll probably lose 1/2 a pound a week, if you do it right. Doing it slow and right is worth it because you are more likely to keep it off.0

You've gotten great advice so far so I'm going to address the giving up part. Honestly, I don't think you're going to give up, you're just frustrating and having a little drama/pity party moment...I get it, we've all been there before! But here's the thing, why even consider giving up when something isn't working? That's not the solution! If something's not working, you have to figure out WHY it's not working and then work on fixing the problem(s), set goals, keep at it. What's giving up going to get you? Nothing...except maybe continued weight gain....and you know you don't want that, right?!
Follow the advice given and above all, be patient and consider your health over just getting skinny.0 -
quitters never win - winners never quit. if you dont keep at this you'll be the same weight if not more in a month, a year from now right? find out your TDEE (google TDEE scooby) and stick with it. all the best, tommorrow will be a better day0

Agreed. You need to be eating at LEAST 1200. From what it appears in your diary, you skip meals too. Please eat 3 meals/day with 2-3 snacks in between. It keeps your metabolism going. Add foods like avocado, peanut butter, healthy nuts, protein shakes, fruits and veggies to increase your caloric intake. I hope you just forgot to log yesterday, cause if not, 300 calories is WAY low. Try to only lose .5 a week, too, like someone said.0 -
OP, after reading this post and your other post about binging...it seems pretty safe to say you do not have a healthy relationship with food at all. You're not eating enough, which is what results in the binging. You should not be depriving yourself, and 1,200 calories is too low anyway. A good start is Googling 'Scooby Calorie Calculator' to figure out how many calories you should be eating to lose.0

You're right. My relationship with food is very unhealthy and I am aware of that. I am not ready to seek a doctor's help though. If only I could go back to healthy eating and reach my goal weight...I don't binge as much.. but thank you0
