drinking water and weight loss

This may be a dumb question... But does drinking too much water a day hinder weight loss?

Actually drinking adequate water will HELP weight loss!!!

No. More water empowers your body to work better and it is energizing!0

I have seen a difference in myself with my intake of water. I find that I was actually dehydrated a great deal of the time not hungry. Instead of eating, I would drink a few glasses of water which would in turn keep me from eating those calories that I did not need at the time. Quite filling!0

Yes. You can drink too much water and you will retain it as excess weight.

I'm not a thirsty person. On average, maybe I'd drink ~24oz per day. When I originally started MFP I couldn't do 8 glasses/day. Because of it my body would retain water and my progress would stall on the scale. I find that now that I make it point to get in a minimum the 8 glasses, my weight steadily has been decreasing, not to mention, my hunger has gone way down.0
