800 calories for the day and it's ONLY morning. I don't have cheat days very often, so I was wondering... one day won't make a difference right? I mean it's my birthday - I can let myself go for one day, right? I will make it up with workouts and eating less next week. There's just so yummy stuff around the house and work and I already tried from almost everything. I know I probably sound really stupid, but I feel kinda guilty and I don't want to feel like that at least today! I'm 19 (from now) years old, female 52 kg/165cm. I still eat 1200 calories as my calorie goal during normal days.

Don't take this as science, because I'm not a nutritionist, but as someone who ends up eating everything in sight in the end when I keep myself from eating anything cheaty--
your birthday is a good day to have a cheat day! Just don't make it a cheat week and I think you'll be just fine!0 -
Happy Birthday! :drinker:
Birhday calories don't count. Enjoy your day. :happy:0 -
Don't worry about it. Enjoy your birthday!0

What treesponge said - enjoy your birthday but don't make it a treat week! It was my birthday last week, I had a pizza on my birthday, cakes with the girls in my office, a takeaway with friends the next day, cocktails with another friend the day after that, a takeaway with my daughter - and I gained 4 lbs!0

Thank you, guys! And yes I will try not to make it birthday week, I will be seeing some friends on the weekend I will try not to eat anything over my calorie goal, maybe some fresh fruit salad or fresh squeezed juice? Do you have any advices on what to eat.. Thanks in advance0

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And yes, enjoy your day! Don't think about eating clean and diets on your birthday. One day wouldn't hurt specially if you don't do it very often. I know it's easy to feel guilty when you're on a roll of maintaining your daily calorie goal, but it's your birthday so just do and eat whatever you want! Just go easy though.. We don't want you to feel sick from eating too much. :laugh:0

Thank you so much! And don't worry I didn't eat very much in quantity, but more chocolate treats and they're high on calories...0 -
what is your caloric goal? and having a cheat day here and there is no big deal.0

Yes....enjoy the birthday without stressing it! Enjoy the treats and special things and the freedom from thinking about every morsel.
BUT...don't freak out tomorrow if the scale goes up. Eating more than you usually do, and probably foods that are higher sodium and more carbs than you are used to, can cause water retention and bloating. If you see the scale go up a few pounds, don't panic! it's mostly water weight and weight from the excess food still working it's way through your system. (You would need to eat around 3500 calories over your maintenance to put on one "real" pound, and even that isn't a big deal) Hydrate well, and get back to your good habits the next day, and the scale should settle back down in a few days.
Some people log days like this just for curiosity and fun, and some just decide not to log, whatever works for you, for this one day, is fine.
Happy birthday and have fun!0 -
Thank you, guys! All of you are so nice! I will take your advices0

Your weight is perfect for your height, a couple of kilos less you will be underweight, so the 1200 calorie goal is just crazy. You need something realistic to maintain weight, neither starvation nor binge eating on occasion. If you are also working out or are in general moderately active, I would expect something like 1800-2000 calories for your age and height or you are flirting wih anorexia0 -
Happy Birthday :drinker:0

@aggelikik I will pay attention to what are you saying... I really think I need to up my calorie goal. I usually workout 3/4 times a week - like 30 mins cardio, or jogging. I'm eating at least half of the calories I burned with exercise
to all of you thank you very much! wish you all the best0
