I am having a bean revelation today, i've always liked beans and lentils and chickpeas but never really cooked with them apart from making hummus. Today i made a 4 bean chilli in my rice cooker as i dont have a slow cooker it was amazing and filling and i made a huge batch so i can freeze it! So now i would really love everyones beans ideas please!!!

Make sure you cook those beans at a full boil for at least 10 minutes before you put them into the rice cooker or slow cooker. Uncooked beans have toxins in them that will make you sick unless they're well boiled. Otherwise, enjoy your beans.0

Sorry no bean recipes but a quick question guys...are baked beans good/okay/avoidable diet wise? I’ve received contradicting info on this so a little bit of clarity would be brill.
This post seemed appropriate the topic being beans beans beans lol0 -
I personally find them too sweet. The sauce is pretty high in sugars.0

I really like Hoppin John - it's got black eyed peas and kale ...and a bunch of other stuff. We eat it like a stew without rice or anything. I usually just put some cubed ham through it.

I love lentil/ split pea/ bean soups - so yummy I could eat them every day!
LaurenStephaine - Baked beans are OK on a diet, so long as you count them, the sauce makes them a bit higher in calories, but you can still fit them in. I mean, I fit CHOCOLATE in. Eat what you want, but count it!0
