I really shouldn't have left. I got tired of counting calories, etc.

I was okay for a while. Then winter came. A very cold, very frozen winter. Couldn't get out for my runs and didn't want to work out indoors because my mom moved in (temporarily) with us, and she's usually at home, and I don't care for exercising with an audience. But I have to, because this is NOT working.

I've regained the 10 pounds I had lost and am having a heck of a time with belly fat. I have NEVER had belly fat issues, even overweight. Not a good sign, as insulin resistance and diabetes run in my family.

So, I'm back. Gonna stick this out. Even if I occasionally slip, I'm not gonna let myself fall and fail. I'm going on a low-carb (i.e. low-to-no grains, sugar, refined carbs) diet. Not counting carbs from vegetables and the odd piece of fruit, as long as they fit in my calorie allowance.
