Embarrassing Topic------Irregularity

What do you all do for irregularity? Right now I am using Reneu by First Fitness and I know it really helps but kind of expensive and also not sure if healthy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I don't take Reneu I get really bloated and backed up.:noway:

depending on the type of irregularity (fast or slow, if ya know whattah mean..) i use either fiber or water.

if i'm backed up, i go fiber-heavy: prunes, raisins, dates, oatmeal, etc.. with plenty of waer.
if i'm the opposite of backed up, i ease up on the water, but still stay fiber heavy and sometimes add some proteins like yogurt or cheese. i almost never have the latter type, unless it's temporary from eating too many jalapenos.
  • I saw a post on here from someone else with the same problem. A person told her Apple juice works really well. You might try adding some of that. Just a suggestion.

Maybe try eating more. I can't imagine eating less than 1000 calories every day for a couple of weeks is conducive to regularity. Changing your exercise routine could help too. Some different cardio might get you "going."

A couple of scoops of Metamucil or a generic brand fiber supplement generally helps keep the plumbing from getting backed up.

1/2 teaspoon ground flax seed sprinkled on food is good for the heart and keeps you regular. Also yoplus is good tasting and keeps the good bacteria in you, working its magic. Both are inexpensive and provide healthy benefits.
  • thanks so much for all the advice....I drink lots of water but I will try the prunes and apple juice....thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Everyone says prunes, but plums work for me equally as well. Just a thought if you get tired of eating prunes.

i generally don't have the problem...but fruit is a diaretic...mainly because of the fibre...or granola cereal...that'll make you go :blushing: lol

I swear by my Shakeology. I've never really been too irregular, however, I've noticed that since I've started drinking my Shakeology, I go around 3 times a day now. LOL It cleans you out for sure and it's good for you.

When I don't eat enough it seems that I also have this problem. If consuming enough calories doesn't do the trick, I brew organic green tea and like magic it does the trick.

Don't be embarassed! Dieting can have all sorts of effects of your body, and irregularity is just one of them. I've been having my own issues with milk.

Look at it this way: you didn't tear your pants out in a store the other day, have to go to another one with a shirt tied around your waist, have to tell the fitting room lady the reason why you need to wear them to the cash register, have to be escorted tot he register, and tell that lady why you had to do so. I'M EMBARASSED!!!:-P

On the plus side... once the pants split, they did feel more comfortable.*LOL*
