1 1/2 scoop of vanilla whey (most of the time it is muscle milk)
    Unsweetened almond milk
1 cup of Frozen Blue, black and rasberry. (I get a large bag at costco)
3 table spoons of hemp hearts. Again I get at costco

I consider myself; Queen of Smoothies" lol. I add anything and everything. Almond butter, those flavored packets u add to water, add to strawberries or other fruit so it has some sugary flavor. I love my sugar. I have also added those protein shots (sugar free) that come in those little bottles by the register at check out counters; I use "biggest loser or whey protein powders" or carnation instant breakfast (no sugar added) packets; McCormick flavorings; mostly fresh fruit and veggies. If you use spinach or kale and do not like the taste of any green drink----add an apple or cucumber and you will not taste it, u can also add Cheyenne pepper if u like it warm. Check out Dr. Oz recipes on www.sharecare.com they taste good even though the ingredients do not sound good together. You will certainly be surprised at the taste. I put the green drinks in a old micky d's Styrofoam cup so my husband does not see it and he freaks when he sees its green.

Cashew paste is a great addition.

A few of my favorite recipes:
    1-
1/4c cashew paste (raw cashews boiled until soft, blended with a bit of milk or water)
    200g strawberries
    85g baby spinach
1-2 servings plain whey protein powder I use 'The Organic Whey'
    21g raw honey
    1-1.5c water

    2-
    85g baby spinach
    150g blueberries
    1c unsweetned almond milk
    30g raw honey
1-2 servings plain whey protein powder

    3-
1-2 servings plain whey protein powder
    1.5 banana
    1.5 tbsp dark cocoa powder
    20g raw honey
    2 servings creamy peanut butter.
    85g baby spinach

I've been adding a variety of things, because I don't want to get bored with this great jumpstart to the day. Today, I added tbsp of Krema natural peanut butter, a half a tsp of Canadian raw honey, and about a cup of chopped carrots.

Sometimes I'll add blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, or pineapple. I've tried it with the addition of coconut water too, for a more liquidy version. I almost always add chopped cucumber or celery, half a banana, and spinach or kale.

It's fun to throw things and and see how they come out.

I am sure it has been listed here but my favorite is:

    1 cup of ice
    1 scoop of Syntha-6 Chocolate
cup or cup and half of almond milk- dont want too much - want to keep it thick
    1 banana
1 big spoonful of natural peanut butter

The key is getting the the mix so you don't have any ice chunks. Tastes like an ice cream dessert

    Bump for ideas
  • This is my favorite. One scoop of vanilla powder. One med. banana, 1/2 c of frozen blueberries, 1c low fat milk....blend. It is simple and delicious! I have one after every time I workout with weights, about three times a week!

    bump for some great ideas
  • I always use non sweetened almond milk instead of skim milk - it saves a lot of calories.
I always add ice too because I like my smoothies really cold.
There is a great kindle download with recipes called Smoothie Recipes For Weight Loss - lots of good combinations.
