Heart Rate Monitor Help

Hello! I'm looking for advice on buying a heart rate monitor. I have one with a chest strap and HATE it! Plus it doesn't work very well. Are there any good strapless monitors that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks for your help!

FWIW:
Any heart rate monitor that doesn't use a strap will not be very accurate and IMO isn't worth the money you spend on it.
What HRM do you have?0 -
Um I'm not sure but the chest strap moves and then doesn't track anything.0

Properly size the strap.0 -
Garmin have a soft and a hard strap. They soft strap has a tiny clip on monitor and is fully elasticated - but I found after a couple of months use it wouldn't work properly even with fresh batteries. I've gone out and brought their hard strap at fits found it very uncomfortable but now I barely notice it is there. Proper adjustment is key. Don't have it so tight that it hurts when you breathe but firm enough that it doesn't move when you work out.
In my experience strapless monitors aren't accurate and aren't worth it!0
