I Have No Catchy Tag-Line

I really tried to think of one, I swear.
Anyway! I have been lurking (and posting some) for about a month now. I'm fairly new to the whole idea of internet forums...a true techno-phobe who doesn't even know how to post a gif or get my picture to turn the right direction.
My max weight, not so very long ago was 297. I saw a picture of myself...freaked out, bought a scale, saw the number and cried. Then I bought a bicycle. My first ride I made it less than 1 mile and threw up...after 3 months I was biking 25 miles of hilly country roads and loving it despite being saddle sore. I've dropped more than 60lbs since then and am learning to run...well, more learning how to push myself past that uncomfortable "my lungs are on fire" place. The other day I hopped on the treadmill and because I was distracted by things when I finally glanced at the digital display I discovered that I had run more than a mile!! woohooo!!!! Now, I've run that far before...but never without working at it and pushing for it.
The thing is, I still have a long way to go in my weight loss journey if I'm ever going to achieve "Normal" whatever that is exactly. So, I guess that means I'm going to be around here for a long time.....and probably for quite awhile after I get to my goal since maintaining the loss if just as hard as achieving it. I hope to make some friends along the way! Please feel free to add me.

I think your picture looks great sideways. It's very individual.

To post a gif, you do a google image search, find one you like, copy and paste the URL then put it in tags like this:

    [ img ] paste URL here [ / img ]

except without any spaces (the above won't show if you do it without spaces.
