Why am I so bloated?!

Okay, here's the deal. I've been eating really clean for a week now. I guess if you want to compare what I eat to anything, then it'd be Paleo. And I know that with bloat you should drink plenty of water, so I'm drinking like a fish.
I don't really understand why I'm so bloated, is it possible that it's because my body isn't used to eating like this? (And no, I'm halfway through my cycle so my monthly visitor isn't due so I can't put it down to that.)
Thanks in advance folks,

I'm eating a lot more veg than I used to.

A dramatic increase in fiber too suddenly can cause bloating. Your body will adapt in a few weeks, but if the bloating is bothering you, eliminate one or two fibrous foods (likely going to be a grain or veggie, but check your diary to see who the big offenders are). Slowly work them back in and you'll be fine if that's the cause. This is all assuming you didn't drastically increase your sodium recently when you changed your diet.

Hiya, thank you so much for your helpful response
I've recently taken a "paleo" approach (to be honest, more because the increase of alertness and energy sounded wonderful to this busy working mum!!! More so than the weight loss side! ) so there are no grains but there is probably sodium in the slight increase in the amount of meat I'm eating..?
Once again, I appreciate you taking the time to help, thanks!

Increased sodium can cause a bit of water retention .
Try to curb the salt and salty foods/sauces etc it will probably go in a few more days.
    Good luck!

ITS THE VEGGIES. I was going through this exact same thing till this week and cut my veggie consumption it's like night and day difference. Way less bloated. Thank goodness.
