    This movie just makes me cry.........

    FWIW - I have lost 2 people really close to me in my family to Alzheimer's disease, and the way they portrayed Allie (the older Allie) in the movie did not show in any way the real devastation of this disease. I know the movie was about the love story, but I couldn't help but compare how they portrayed Alzheimer's disease in the movie to how it really is in real life.

    But yes the love story was very moving.
