Hello! My name is Tarran. Well, I joined MFP about 2 or so months ago and have been going hard at it for the last month, lost 11 pounds so far. Some things about me: I am the mother of a beauuuuutiful little girl! She is going to be 6 months soon, can't believe it! I've struggled with weight for as far back as I can remember (3rd grade). I always thought I was so much bigger than I everyone else, and I was. I never realized I was just always built bigger than all the other girls around me. I'm literally very big boned and I didn't understand that then, I just knew that I was "fat." Now that I look back at pictures, I wasn't fat, I really wasn't, I just wasn't a toothpick. Well around age 16 I weighed in at a devastating 200 POUNDS! So my mom bought me a dog & we both joined weight watchers online. I lost about 30 lbs initially and then I turned 17 and it was like 20 lbs just melted away. So I got down to like 152. Realistic or not, that is what I'm aiming for now. Since then its been up and down, up to 230 down to 175, up to 244 (not pregnant), up to 279 (9 months pregnant), and now here I sit at 250.8!! Something I couldn't say before is that I'm READY to lose & I'm motivated to do so!!! SO MOTIVATED. This website is like my new Facebook, I was addicted to facebook & now I'm addicted to MFP! Anywho...here are my stats:
25 years old
5' 7''
SW: 262
CW: 250.8
GW: 155
If you would like to add me or be amigos, let me know! Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving!! Eat good food...in smaller portions.

I am so with you on being addicted to this site. I think it's a good addiction because it's keeping me focused on my goals and I'm always excited to plug in my workouts. Gotta do them first!!! I am so motivated this time too. After failing so many times I had become reluctant to hope and fail yet again. But this time I'm becoming hyper. I think the site is a huge part of that.0

I have failed at this journey SO MANY TIMES! I am OVER failing, tired of it, completely tired of it. DISGUSTED with as many times as I have failed at many things. When I was younger (3 years ago) I had more confidence and belief in myself than one person could use or need at any time. Then I failed so many times at certain things and messed up so much, that I gave up on myself and I literally stopped trying and the confidence and belief in myself that I once had so much of was COMPLETELY destroyed. So that being said, I recently realized that I'm doing this for me, I'm not giving up, I'm doing it because I know I can. I'm ready to live my life and not barely skate by. I want the confidence & faith I once had in myself back. And I know I'll get it, just is going to take a little work.0 -
Here here for being a "real woman"! No one is built the same! Too bad we always think that! Here's for the healthy new you with realistic body shape! You are beautiful already. Now to get to be the healthy person you want. I'm rooting for you! And me!0

Good job on the 10 you've already lost.
Your history and numbers are a lot like mine. It sounds funny to me to say I am big boned, but really I am built like a draft horse. When I was skinny, I never realized that a size 8 looked pretty good on me and I still had a negative self-image.
I hit 275 when I was pregnant too. I've put off a second baby for awhile now because I just can't bare the thought of having to gain any weight on top of what I've already got until I can lose at least 30 pounds first. Baby or no, I'm not stopping there. You can see on my ticker I have quite a ways to go!
I joined here 3 days ago and already I've spent less time on facebook too. But that's a good thing!0 -
I too have become addicted to MFP. I love all the encouraging comments and support that eveyone gives. It is also a way for me to keep track of myself. Keep up the good work and you will accomplish your goals.0
