Good Morning all:
My name is Shirley and just a normal gal next door trying to be a sexy hottie...always was and still am a cardio queen but after years and years of cardio and losing weight...the jiggly did not go away....I have come to reality that I need to tone....not my favorite but cardio alone has not been working out....boooo
So I have decided to start my toning program and for the first time in my life I promised to wear shorts....I have never wore shorts....EVER..so here goes nothing....looking around for some fitness friends...I don't judge and always willing to lend an ear...we all need support once in a while Hope to hear from you soon....

When I was in the Army, Physical Training was my life. I was in very good shape BUT I never really lost the middle I found out very recently that you gain muscle in the gym but lose weight in the kitchen.
If you are trying to lose weight, then I think what you take in is going to make ALL the difference. Not to say that working out is not going to help. But, as you said in you post, "after years and years of cardio and losing weight...the jiggly did not go away".0 -

Good luck with your goals. I am on the opposite side of the line and hate cardio !!! I guess hate is a strong word lol... I will be adding intervals to my routine while doing weights. I was on a 3 week vacation so will be rebooting my exercise from today.
Maybe you should start including a mix of few supersets that include dumbbells or kettle-balls in addition to the cardio.

yea weight lifting may be the key to get the tone your asking for...maybe the weight is gone but still carrying some fat. There are plenty of threads specific to women on how to get started... Good luck and feel free to add for support if you wish0
