Peel pear. Slice pear in half and remove the core. (You can leave the stem if you want) Place pear open side down on a greased cookie sheet. Cover with pie crust, poke holes, shape stem and leaf.
I only found the picture. There were no directions so you will have to experiment with cooking temps and times. I would cook it on high (375F - 400F) for 15 mins to start.

This looks amazing! Hm maybe I'll have to try it some day. I also think making with apples would be amazing (I'm not much of a pear person).0

Definitely looks like it's stuffed with some kind of oatmeal mixture.
Oatmeal, apple sauce (or yogurt) and brown sugar....? Sounds like yummm.0 -
That looks delicious!0

Yeah, it looks like that might have been done after baking?0 -
I would bake them with it inside so it has time to caramelize0

I was really intrigued by the picture so I looked up the link:

The mixture you see inside is actually blue cheese, and the pastry is puff pastry instead of pie crust, but I'm sure it's very adaptable to whatever you have on hand0 -

I think I would also scrape out the centre of the apples and mix with some maple syrup or other natural sweetener , oats and cinnamon almost like an apple crisp and cook that in a dish while the crusts are baking on the apple, then once done spoon in the apple mixture.
Recipe for Gluten Free Low Carb Almond Pie Crust
2 cups blanched almond flour
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tbsp natural sweetener (optional)
1 egg
Place flour, salt, baking powder, sweetener in food processor and pulse briefly
Add coconut oil and egg and pulse until mixture forms a ball
Press dough into a 9-inch pie dish
Bake at 350° for 8-12 minutes
Makes 1 pie crust0 -
Oh my! this looks incredibly delicious! Going to make them ASAP!0

Oat filling sounds like a healthy choice, my first thought when I saw the picture was whipped cream and chopped almonds!0

Definitely never would have thought blue cheese.
Doesn't sound very appealing.
I'll go with my original thought of oats, yogurt, cinnamon, apple sauce, brown sugar, unicorns and rainbows.....0 -
Bump to try later!0
