Why does there have to be a holiday for this lol? It shouldn't happen that infrequently lol.

holidays are OK. It is OK to have special days. I celebrate being alive everyday, but I reserve one day a year for eating a giant cake with candles all over it and telling everyone it is my birthday. People should be OK with holidays. Stop sucking the fun out of holidays!!!!!!!!!

while I think there are many people who are celebrating their love and passion on the regular....

there are alot of other people who aren't.

who keep it hidden and locked away to be doled out on special occasions like a treat.

we shouldn't belittle those that look forward to those opportunity's

sometimes it's not by their choice, but they love their other half enough to accept the way it is....as painful as it is for them sometimes.

I can understand this =). I didn't mean it to belittle anyone honestly =).

This makes me feel a little sad inside, and I want to go around and hug anyone who isn't getting love on the regular.

However, I'm all for celebrating this holiday, too. I'm thinking, instead of just a steak, why not a particularly succulent ribeye; and instead of just a bj, why not make it something a little bit extra? There are all sorts of ways to up the ante for a special holiday.

We've been married for 19 years. Our celebration is on 2/15 every year when the chocolate is 1/2 price. Screw Hallmark. We express our love every day.

Usually this is a sign of manipulation and control. You can accept that is the way it is in this department for awhile but eventually everything else will wear on you beyond the point of giving a ****.

Valentine's is February, not March... Ugh, I hate it.

um, I'm sure she will. I was merely saying thank you for his service.
  • Haha. Might be a little difficult since we're both vegan, but I hand out good food and good...company...all the time for my darling. I don't need a holiday for that.

We also celebrate Valentine's Day, but just because it's a good day to stop the busy schedules and just spend time together. :-)

    Steak and BJ day?

If I end up dating someone by then, he can have one or the other lol.

So only one of you can have steak that day?

I've given out plenty of flowers, cards, candies, dinners... never once got to celebrate March 14th.

Sigh. I'd even settle for a steak sub and a handie!

That's what I like to see lol. A guy who is okay with just a handjob.

yeah... he seems really excited about it. comparing it to a steak sub. what praise!

Lol, don't get emotional. d: It was obviously a joke, buddy.
    are we 16? lol

not trying to be mean, but really!!!!!

    It was a joke. d:

i guess it wasn't as obvious as you thought, toots.

Quit spoiling my shot at an HJ, alright pal?

Sorry about that. Just trying to get you an upgrade, pookie.

That's cool....i get it on the regular and sometimes I lose sight of this too.

But I have more than a few friends that don't.

And to the person that said it was manipulation...no...it isn't always that way...

sometimes it's a loss of sex drive, or imbalanced sexual needs, sometimes it's something much worse, or medical....

to stay in a sexless marriage regardless of your desires...that's gotta be worth something more than derision from those of us who get it consistently....

    that's all i'm saying.

Why does it seem like bj's are always reserved for special occasions with some people?

ETA: Oops, I guess that's been covered. My bad.

If you need a made up holiday to make your significant other "smile" I feel sorry for your husband/boyfriend.

I make up days all the time as an excuse to do things.

"today we are having steak and because- it's steak day"

today we are having treat you out day- because it's treat you out day"

I see nothing wrong with having made up days to have a good time- I have a made up day almost every other week.... usually I call them "just because" days.
