I am 18 years old, 250 pounds, and I'm ready for a change. My main concern is excess skin. Because I'm still pretty young, will I still have a lot of excess skin?

The surgery usually requires that you lose about 40% of your body weight, so you may fall in that range.
However, since you are young, your skin may be able to keep up, as long as you lose weight at a decent pace, get plenty of nutrients, and drink lots of water.0 -
Not knowing how tall you are or any measurements it's hard to say, but as the previous poster said, being young, and taking the weight off slowly both work in your favor. Drink lots of water as it contributes to the elasticity of your skin. And don't worry about loose skin, nobody ever suffered a stroke or heart attack or got diabetes from loose skin. Excess body fat on the other hand...
