I feel kinda depressed...I cant shake that loss of 10 pound mark....It wont budge to an 11 pound loss...Maybe I just need to be patient....its only been a month but I wish I was able to SEE changes in my body :'(

Same. My scale hasn't moved in close to 2 weeks. It's starting to bum me out for real. Gotta stick with it though. (:

10 pound loss is pretty huge in one month. Could be your body is just getting ready for it's next loss? I'm sure someone else will tell me I'm completely wrong. Weight loss just isn't linear. You won't always lose at the same rate and you have to forgive your body for that.

This is one of the reasons I don't own a scale anymore. It is depressing and very discouraging to have that scale stay at the same number even when you are doing everything right. My advice to you would be to ditch the scale. Don't hang your attitude or self worth on a number. Now I weigh in every month at the doctors office (or every two months) and it is a lot less stress.

Agreed. There are times I'll feel stuck and then the next week start registering a 2 pound loss. Also, if you've upped your exercise, that can translate to some temporary water weight. I saw better results when I really started pushing the water---I drink up to 10 glasses a day now, and it's a habit.

I was feeling the same way, My weight keeps going up and down, up and down. Finally my boyfriend took my measurements after two weeks of this and I had lost 3 inches on my waist and 1 inch on my hips so just remember that while your scale may not be going down, your muscles are going up and muscle is heavier than fat. Sometimes taking your measurements can help and changing up your work out can help to.

Use a measuring tape!!! There are days where I wake up and look really good, step on the scale, do a double take and go "no way, that can't be right. How did I gain weight?" However, if I grab a measuring tape, on those same days I have usually lost inches some place or other! Stick with it, you can do it!

I am on day 40 today. (yay me) I will agree that around the 30-35th day i was seriously losing momentum. and i even gained 2lbs back (momentum loss, and TOM) but i got right back into the game. Even though my record to date is only 5lbs loss, my coworkers are starting to give me the 'have you lost weight?' compliments... and no one really knows im making changes.

i also took pictures, and at my 30th day i compared of course it wasnt drastic! but i did see some differences and thats why got me moving again.

when it starts getting rough, i have to get creative. hang in there!

OP; 10 lbs in a month is phenomenal. You should be very happy and proud of that.
That being said, exercise patience. You'll hear this alot; weight loss is not linear. There will be weeks you lose a good amount, some you lose very little, some you lose none and others will show a gain. However, as long as there is a downward trend, you're doing just fine. Remember, you didn't put the weight on in a month, it's not going to come off that quickly either.

Tomorrow will mark 245 days of logging for me. I've had alot of ups and downs, but I've lost 46 lbs in that time. I'm going to post what my weekly losses has looked like for me, so you can see just how unlinear weight loss is...

    week 1 & 2 June 10-23: 205lbs, 6.6lbs lost
    week 3 June 24-30: 202.4lbs, 2.6lbs lost
    week 4 July 1-7: 201.2, 1.2lbs lost
    week 5 July 8-14: 199.8, 1.4 lbs lost
    week 6 July 15-21: 198.6, 1.2 lbs lost
    week 7 July 22-28: 196.4, 2.2 lbs lost
    week 8 July 29-Aug 4: 194.8, 1.6 lbs lost
    week 9 Aug 5-11: 193.2, 1.6 lbs lost
    week 10 Aug 12-18: 192.0, 1.2 lbs lost
    week 11 Aug 19-25: 190.4, 1.6 lbs lost
    week 12 Aug 26-Sept 1: 188.8, 1.6 lbs lost
    week 13 Sept 2-8: 190.2, +1.4 lbs gain
    week 14 Sept 9-15: 187.4, 2.8 lbs lost
    week 15 Sept 16-22: 186.2, 1.2 lbs lost
    week 16 Sept 23-29: 184.8, 1.4 lbs lost
    week 17 Sept 30-Oct 6: 183.4, 1.4 lbs lost
    week 18 Oct 7-13: 182.6, .8 lbs lost
    week 19 Oct 14-20: 180.4, 2.2 lbs lost
    week 20 Oct 21-27: 179.8, .6 lbs lost
    week 21 Oct 28-Nov 3: 177.2, 2.6 lbs lost
    week 22 Nov 4-10: 178.4, +1.2 lbs gain
    week 23 Nov 11-17: 179.0, +.6 lbs gain
    week 24 Nov 18-24: 175.6, 3.4 lbs lost
    week 25 Nov 25-Dec 1: 174.8, .8 lbs lost
    week 26 Dec 2-8: 173.0, 1.8 lbs lost
    week 27 Dec 9-15: 171.8, 1.2 lbs lost
    week 28 Dec 16-22: 171.0, .8 lbs lost
    week 29 Dec 23-29: 169.4, 1.6 lbs lost
    week 30 Dec 30-Jan 5: 168.6, .8 lbs lost
    week 31 Jan 6-12: 167.6, 1 lbs lost
    week 32 Jan 13-19: 167.8, +.2 lbs gain
    week 33 Jan 20-26: 166.0, 1.8 lbs lost
    week 34 Jan 27-Feb 2: 165.8, .2 lbs lost

As you can see, my losses are all over the map. It's pretty silly. And when I ovulate or AF shows, or I work out more than normal, my numbers go flying right out the window because of water retention.

Give it time, have patience, keep logging. You'll get there.

Took a peak at your diary - you are kind of low on protein. I aim for 1 to 1.5g/lb of lean body mass which translates to about 125 g of protein a day.

I'm in the same boat, although I know why... I've been messing up my diet a bit with parties and eating out (I try to guesstimate what I'm eating but I don't know how accurate I am). Stick with it, we will be moving the scale again soon I am sure! I started Jan 2 and have been in a gain/lose 1-1.5 pounds for a little over a week. Trying not to obsess about it, but don't want to go to the other extreme of not caring and giving up!

I also want to point out the water weight problem. In one day I can "gain" 4 pounds because of retaining water and then lose them within 2 days. Watch salty foods and anything processed. & use a measuring tape. The link to that chart, explains it very well, it's up down up down, but as long as over like a 6 month period you're more down than up. You're good :)
