While surfing MFP today (I just love this site!) I thought of a motivating way to keep track of my results - a result journal. I'm going to take a plain notebook and decorate it with motivational quotes and then take and print out before pics of myself. I'm then going to measure and weigh myself today and log those results. Each week (only once a week) I'm going to measure and weigh myself and then take a picture, print it out and paste it in there. I'm a very visual person and visual learner, so I feel actually SEEING the changes in my body in pictures will help motivate me to keep up the hard work. I'm also thinking about keeping track of all of my workouts in there by writing them down and seeing what works and what doesn't. Maybe even how I feel after each workout. Of course, this is just for me and no one else. I love to write so I feel this would be a tool to keep me on track. I might even include informational articles in it as well to read when I'm feeling down and not wanting to workout. I just thought I'd share this motivational tool to help others on their journey to fitness and health!

That is an awesome idea! I hope you can accomplish your goal using this method. I too may have to do this for myself. I love to write and am always making lists and writing down nothingness, so maybe my bables can have a purpose as well! I have tried food journals and that stuff but i never keep it up---maybe this one will keep me going!
  • I have tried food journals too, but keeping up with it on MFP is the only thing that I have stuck with! I have been doing it for 20 days straight and I absolutely love it!
